NEWS FLASH- 6 Homes Robbed In Lancaster, On Allen, Near High St.-
Purses Snatched While Eloi Sleep Restfully On Couch In Next Room.

While visiting the neighbor of one of those who were robbed, I heard
the story firsthand from one of the victims. Just hours before, the
thieves brazenly opened her (foolishly unlocked) back door, and
walked right into her house to steal several purses. Between 3:30am and
4:30am. Purses were found in alley nearby, missing only cash
and cigarettes. It was surmised the thieves were going door to
door, checking for unlocked ones, carrying a ladder or stool to
gain entrance thru windows. A month ago, robbers went down the
alley behind my old neighborhood and stole gutters off of garages. Folks,
this is not our parents or grandparents Lancaster.
You can't leave your doors unlocked and ground floor windows
open at night. (Maybe even in the day.) I lock both my door and
screen door. Better safe than sorry. And sorry is what things seem
to be coming to in Lancaster.- Dr. M
